"I'm not usually a 'jump up and down in delight person', but I absolutely love it!"

- Tracy, Coventry, July 2010

We've got loads of ideas!

"We had a vision of how we wanted our garden, but it was a daunting task. Being able to talk it through in detail with Hilary and Brian gave us a fantastic result - we love it!"

Pat and Francis are both keen gardeners and had lots of ideas about how make the most of the large area around their summerhouse at the bottom of the garden.  Screened from the main house by large trees and mature shrubs, the area was almost totally hidden from the rest of the garden and largely redundant.

After lots of lively debate and dicussion we helped Pat and Francis distill their ideas into a detailed design.  The result is a deep wooden screened deck in front of the summerhouse which is reached by a meandering block paved path from the main house.  The path encircles a large tree en-route and then splits into two before opening out onto separate patio areas which face one another from opposite sides of the garden.  In front of the summerhouse there is a new lawn and a Mediterranean gravel garden planted with fruit and olive trees.  Beyond the gravel garden is a brick BBQ and to the side of the summerhouse a kitchen garden.

The garden is now, not only a productive area filled with salad and fruit crops as well as bees from the couple's beehives, but a gorgeous secret garden hideaway which is ideal for relaxed pottering or lively partying with friends and family.
